What the arrangement actually is

Advertising on this site takes one form: a link. The advertiser pays a fixed amount when a reader completes a specific action on the advertiser's own site — registering, installing the game and launching the tutorial. The fee is the same regardless of what the reader does afterwards, and it does not increase if the reader later spends money in the game. There is no revenue share, no commission on purchases and no ongoing payment tied to a reader's activity.

That structure is worth understanding, because it determines what incentive exists. This site has no financial interest in a reader spending money inside a game, which is why the guides here are comfortable telling readers to set an annual ceiling before starting and to walk away early if the fit is wrong.

What the money does not buy

• Not the content. The advertiser does not write, review, approve or see any page before it is published, and cannot have a sentence changed or removed.
• Not a rating. There are no scores on this site, so none can be bought.
• Not the blanks. The game profile contains a table of questions the advertiser's material does not answer, published as unanswered. Payment did not remove a row from it.
• Not your price. Following an affiliate link costs a reader nothing and changes no price. The fee is paid by the advertiser out of its own marketing budget.
• Not your data. This site collects nothing about readers and passes nothing to the advertiser. We have no idea who follows a link, and no analytics that could tell us.

What determines coverage, since the money does not

Two things. First, the questions readers in Australia actually have about this genre: what it costs over a year, whether it fits a particular week, how classification works, and how accounts are lost. Those decide which guides exist and what is in them. Second, and more narrowly, commercial relationships decide which individual products get a dedicated page — and there is exactly one, which is why this site does not present a shortlist or a comparison of named products. A ranked list of five games where only one pays the publisher is a format we have chosen not to use, because the honest version of it would need a footnote longer than the list.

How the links are built

There is nothing clever about them, deliberately.

• Every affiliate link points directly at the advertiser's address, written into the page. Hover over one and your browser will show you exactly where it goes.
• There is no redirect on this domain, no click-tracking hop, no link shortener and no script that changes a destination when you click.
• Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and open in a new tab, which is the standard way of telling search engines and browsers that a link is paid.
• Every affiliate link has a line of plain text immediately next to it saying it is paid. No small print, no asterisk.
• Nothing on this site redirects automatically, pops up, or interrupts a visit. If you never click, nothing happens.

Australian context

Under the Australian Consumer Law, misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited, and a commercial relationship that a reader would want to know about is exactly the kind of thing that should not be hidden. The ACCC administers that law and publishes guidance on advertising and selling, including online. We treat disclosure as a baseline rather than a formality: if a reader would be surprised to learn something about how this site is paid, it belongs on this page.
