This site sets no cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later requests, which is how sites recognise a returning visitor. Cookies are how logins persist, how shopping baskets survive a page change, and how advertising networks follow people between sites.
pulsegroup.online sets none. Not a first-party cookie, not an analytics cookie, not an advertising cookie, not a session identifier, not a preference cookie. No third party is permitted to set one through this site either, because no third-party code runs here: there is no analytics script, no advertising tag, no conversion pixel, no tag manager, no social media embed, no video player, no comment system, no chat widget and no externally hosted font or library. Every file this site loads comes from this domain.
That is why you have not seen a consent banner. A banner asking permission to set cookies on a site that sets none would be a false statement dressed up as compliance, and a reader who opened the developer tools would find nothing behind it. There is nothing here to consent to, so nothing is asked.
Open your browser's developer tools on any page of this site, look at the storage or application panel, and check the cookie list and the network tab. You will find an empty cookie list, no local or session storage entries, and requests only to pulsegroup.online.
What happens instead
Two things exist in place of tracking, and both are described fully in our privacy policy.
- Server logs. The hosting provider's server keeps an ordinary access log of each request: the IP address, the browser's user agent string, the URL requested and the time. This is a property of running a web server rather than a choice about tracking, it is not a cookie, and it is retained for no more than 30 days.
- Email you send us. If you write to info@pulsegroup.online, we have your message. Nothing on this site can start that; you have to choose to write.
There is no analytics account behind this site, so nobody here knows how many people read a page, where they came from, or what they clicked. That is a real limitation and we accept it, because the alternative would require tracking readers to learn it.
Other browser storage
This site uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB and no cache-based identifier. It does not use browser fingerprinting of any kind: no canvas, font, audio or device enumeration, and no script that measures your browser's characteristics. The only JavaScript on the site is a short first-party file that opens and closes the navigation menu on small screens. You can read it at /assets/main.js — it is a few dozen lines, unminified, and it makes no network request and stores nothing.
Links to other sites
This site links to other organisations, including Australian government bodies and one advertiser. Those sites have their own cookie and privacy practices, which apply from the moment you arrive there and over which we have no control and no visibility. Our affiliate links are marked as paid wherever they appear and are explained on the affiliate disclosure page. Following one sets no cookie on this domain, because this domain sets none; what the destination does is a matter for the destination's own policy.
Managing cookies in general
Although nothing on this site requires it, every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. The controls sit under privacy or site settings in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and they let you clear existing cookies, block third-party cookies, or block cookies entirely for particular sites. Browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards cookies and site data when the window closes. Blocking cookies entirely will break sites that rely on them for logins; it will have no effect at all on this one.
If this ever changes
We have no plans to add tracking to this site. If that position ever changed, three things would happen in the same update, before any cookie was set: this page would be rewritten to name each cookie, its purpose, who sets it and how long it lasts; the privacy policy would be updated to match; and a working consent mechanism would be in place, with non-essential cookies blocked until a reader actively agreed. A cookie would not appear on this site before the page describing it did.
